Chocoparse 0.1.0 Alpha
What's New in 0.1.0
+Initial Release
+Static parsing of log files including melee, ranged, and spell damage
+Evasion, Hit, and Critical rates for both spells and melee/ranged
+In-game channel command handler
+Subparses
+Command-Line interface
---------------------------------------
If you want to be an Alpha tester, shoot me a PM here or on the Temerity forums, or just send me a tell in game. You do not have to be a member of Temerity to test or use this parser.
If you would like to help develop Chocoparse, send me a PM or a tell and we can discuss further.
The first official release of Chocoparse! It has been an interesting project thusfar and I am very pleased with with the results. We are now entering the Alpha phase to help discover and hammer out any bugs that are present before I push onto new features and eventually a nice graphical interface.
Chocoparse will be command-line only for both Alpha and Beta. I did not want to put any effort into creating a GUI for an application that was not polished in its core functionality, so the first GUI release will be 1.0.
As of right now, you will only be able to parse your own spell damage. I will be experimenting with various ways to parse spell damage from other sources in a later release, though for now it is logger only.
The very nature of logging in EQ Mac is a big limitation of this parser. The logging range is the /target range rather than the /assist range that it is in EQPC. Because of this, accurately parsing a whole raid, or even a group for that matter, can be very difficult by yourself.
I hope that this is a useful tool even in its early stage and I welcome any and all feedback from my Alpha testers!
More information is contained in the readme file, so please read it!
